Who we are, and what we do
The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is here to help you. Whether you are starting up or are already in business, we can help you through our interactive workshops that range from introductory to advance subjects. We can counsel you and give you the strategies to succeed. But most importantly, we will inspire you to move forward to succeed in business.
The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), in collaboration with the US Small Business Administration (SBA) launched in 2003, the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center (IEWBC) to meet the unique needs of women business owners in the Inland Empire region. Immediately following the launch of IEWBC, a strange phenomenon was noted: women were driving an hour each direction in order to receive business counseling or to take a workshop. As a result, the seed for creating a second Women's Business Center was planted, and in the fall of 2006, CVWBC opened its doors full-time. The CVWBC’s goal is to benefit the local economy by assisting existing and aspiring women business owners to start and grow successful businesses. The program also provides targeted services to Latina business owners by providing services in English and Spanish.
If you are thinking about starting a business, but are unsure of where to go or feel alone in the process, please consider the CVWBC to help, encourage, and inspire you along the way.
